The Person Behind the Screen

About

I’ve been running games since I was a kid talking my friends through modules at a kitchen table, and somewhere in the last few years, baking became the other thing I do with the same obsessive attention — the same “let me just get this one detail right” energy that makes a three-hour combat encounter feel earned instead of exhausting.

A while back, a lot of my life got knocked down to the studs. The game table was one of the first things I rebuilt — a standing Thursday night, a group of people who showed up even when I wasn’t at my best, a reason to prep something every week. The kitchen came back around the same time, for the same reason: it’s hard to spiral when you’re watching a caramel for the exact right shade of amber.

These days both things are just how I show up for people. If you sit down at one of my tables, expect a DM who’s genuinely invested in your character’s story, prepares more than they’ll ever admit to, and will absolutely bring baked goods to an in-person session. If you end up in the kitchen instead, expect recipes that started as an inside joke with my players and got good enough to actually publish.
